What I did last weekend

While Hotspur and Exrex were facing off at the En Garde tourney, I was getting run over by 16th century cavalry. Yes, I'm a couple hundred years out of date with my clothes, but it's my back yard and I can dress comfy if I want to! So there.

And liripipes are ALWAYS in fashion.

Well, *I* think liripipes rule. Actually, the Rittmaster has evidence of 16th century foote soldiers (archers?) wearing hooded cowl type gizmos. They're such a practical garment that I totally buy them being used until well into the 17th century by rural types.

Oh, the fuzzy pony is the Rittmaster's boy. He's a QH/Percheron/Belgian cross (both parents were half QH/draft). He's a great big lummox and a pretty good jousting horse. :-D
